Bioinformatics Research

Bioinformatics has emerged as an important interdisciplinary field that develops and uses ICT-based tools and techniques to gather, analyze, integrate, simulate and present biological data in basic and applied life science research. Bioinformatics tools developed for gene sequence analysis, genome annotation, function prediction, expression data analysis, network analysis, and biological databases have predictive applications.

'Informatics Studies' proposes to publish special issues on bioinformatics. Scholarly contributions (research articles, review articles, perspectives/opinions, etc) on all aspects related to bioinformatics are welcome. Given the complex and cross-disciplines nature of the theme, the volume is expected to present different approaches of research, giving broad theoretical insights and timely practical guidance. Possible areas suitable for coverage include (but not limited to): Analysis of omics data:  genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, lipidomics, metagenomics; Interaction networks: Gene-gene/protein-protein/protein-gene network analysis, biomarker identification, drug discovery and drug repurposing, as well as current trends, developments and challenges in bioinformatics, and its role in the advancement of life science research

Manuscripts are to be submitted up to December 31, 2022.  For further information and author permissions please contact editor@informaticsstudies.org /jschithra@gmail.com
